A preliminary meeting for the new project of Heart Heart Foundation and KOICA Tanzania Office
On the last 25th of February, there was a preliminary meeting for the new project of the Heart Heart Foundation and KOICA Tanzania Office. The purpose of the project is to support the treatment and prevention of waterborne diseases at Lindy region in Tanzania.
In Tanzania, only 56% of residents can use safe water, and only 15% of them use a decent toilet. Particularly, the project area, Lindy is far from the outside support According to informational system health management in 2017, 19% of children were treated with waterborne diseases such as diarrhea.
Based on these backgrounds, Waterborne Disease Control & Prevention Project in Lindy was planned and a meeting was held for its preliminary investigation and feasibility. We hope this project will reduce the water-borne diseases in Lindy. Support the Heart Heart Foundation and the KOICA Tanzania office to make better Tanzania!
