Kick-off Meeting for the Post-Management Project Implementation of the Electronic Platform (E-people) for Public Participation and Anti-Corruption
On Monday, 9th September 2019, KOICA Tunisia Office held the kick-off meeting at the Central Office of Citizen Relations (BCRC, Bureau Central des Relations avec le Citoyen) on the post-management project for the Implementation of the Electronic Platform (E-people) for Public Participation and Anti-Corruption.
The “E-People Tunisia System” was launched in March 2018 as a platform to integrate processing system for civil services. As a symbol of democratization and digitalization, the system allows civil petitions, policy participation, proposals of people, reporting excessive budget spending, and whistle-blowing of public interest violations. It contributes to the implementation of participatory democracy and enhanced government transparency by strengthening the credibility of the government and public interaction.
A total of 12 people, including KOICA Tunisia office and dispatched experts from Korea, the General Director of the Central Office of Citizen Relations, the E-people unit and IT technicians attended the kick-off meeting. Through the post-management project, the “E-people Tunisia” system is expected to improve the current system with additional functions and its users will participate in customized invitational and local training.
