Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Tunisia, the E-Administration Unit of the Ministry of Public Service, Modernization of Administration and Public Policy and Korea University co-organized a 4-day training session on e-gov and public sector reform from August 20th to 23rd, 2019. The “Capacity Building Program on E-Government and Public Sector Reform for Public Officials in Tunisia” benefitted 33 state officials (40% women) from different ministries.
The purpose of this training was to share Korea's advanced experience in the development of e-government and government innovation which included an overview and comparison of the Tunisian E-government system and its operations with Korea with the aim of strengthening e-government in Tunisia by improving the capacity of public sector officials.
The capacity building program took place over the 3-year period (2017-2019) including training visits to Korea and Tunisia as well as consulting and knowledge-sharing missions between the two countries. A total of 99 government officials representing the various ministries in Tunisia benefited from this training.
His Excellency Mr. CHO Koo Rae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tunisia and Mr. Nizar Kharbech, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Public Service, Modernization of Administration and Public Policy and Ms. Moonjung Choi, Country Director of KOICA Tunisia participated the closing ceremony of the training on 23 August 2019.
