Since 1995, KOICA has been supporting NGO development projects in Korea. As the scale of Korea's public development aid business has increased, cooperation between KOICA and Korean NGOs has become more active by the importance of diversifying aid channels was emphasized. KOICA has provided support to NGOs in partners' communities that provide practical benefits in areas such as health, rural development, drinking water, and residential facilities that meet the basic human needs (BHN). In addition to directly supporting NGOs in Korea, we also provide funding for dispatching volunteers from NGOs, hold workshops to strengthen the capacity of NGOs, inspect and evaluate them. KOICA Kenya Office endeavors to contribute to enhancing its level of reliability by cooperating with public private partnership and partnership with corporates. In this regard, 57 Civil-Public Partnership Projects was implemented and these projects have given opportunities to the local communities to make a self-reliable living through income generating and capacity building programs.
